Our Story
Softies began the way most parenting decisions do: at 2 a.m., with a baby who would not settle.
A family first, a brand second
Softies is run by Husain and Fatema Haveliwala from Mumbai, with two small daughters who have tested more baby products than any lab could. Before Softies, we were simply parents trying to find things that worked: a rocker that actually soothed, a nasal aspirator a baby would tolerate, a food maker that did not take over the kitchen.
What we found was a market with two ends and very little in between. At one end, products that looked premium and cost like it. At the other, products that were affordable but let us down in the small moments that matter most, when a baby is crying and you need the thing in your hand to just work.
Softies is our answer to that gap: thoughtfully made baby essentials that Indian families can trust, at a price that does not feel like a luxury.
How we choose what we sell
We do not make hundreds of products. We make a few, and we use every one of them in our own home before it reaches yours. Each Softies product is sourced from manufacturers who build to international EU and FDA standards and carry CE certification. Then it goes through our own test, which is simpler and harder: would we hand this to our own daughters?
If the answer is no, it does not get the Softies name.
Three ranges, built around real days
